Shimla--Himachal Pradesh has been awarded three more Awards in the Tourism Sector by the Outlook Magazine on the basis of independent survey conducted by Nielson of all tourism destinations of the country. Himachal gets ‘Favourite Hill Destination – Manali’; ‘Outlook Travellers Award – 2010’ and ‘Favourite Adventure Destination’, National Level Awards, which would be presented at New Delhi to the State today. This was revealed by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, to the mediapersons at Annandale Helipad after launching heli-taxi service here today.

Chief Minister congratulated the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation for making rapid strides on tourism promotion sector and winning more number of National Level Awards to the State. He said that Himachal Tourism was bound to emerge a Top Brand name in quality tourism services to the visitors visiting Himachal Pradesh from different parts of the world. He said that such Awards boost the morale of the work force and motivate them to work more vigorously to further improve and bring quality improvement in the services to the visitors. He hoped that the hoteliers and travel agents would be upholding the rich traditions of the state and deliver tourists best of the services so that they could carry home good impressions with sweet memories.

Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Health Minister, Smt. Bimla Kashyap, Member of Parliament (RS), Shri Ganesh Datt, Vice Chairman, HIMUDA, Smt. Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Tourism, and other senior officers of the State Government were present on the occasion.
