Chandigarh--Ramkrishan Mission which was set up by Swami Vivekananda has emerged as an International organization that is spreading the ideals, principals, moral values and role of Paramhans, Shri Ramkrishan Dev and Maa Sharda Devi in the whole World. This was stated by Smt. Urmila Singh, Governor of Himachal Pradesh in the Annual Function of Ramkrishan Mission Ashram at Chandigarh last evening.

She eulogized the role of the mission towards education, character building, personality development, health, helping poor and needy and give helping hand to the people affected by the natural calamities.

A pictorial book on the biography of Maa Sharda Devi was presented by Swami Brahmeshananda, Secretary of the Mission Ashram to the Governor on the occasion.

The Governor stressed upon the need for further research on the life and teachings of Maa Sharda Devi adding that the teachings of Maa Sharda Devi would go a long way in enriching the Indian Culture and a step forward in the direction of Women Empowerment.
