| The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the Nation on the occasion of Gudi Padva, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, and Cheti Chand which are being celebrated in different parts of the country. In a message, the Prime Minister said that these traditional New Year festivals not only signify the amazing cultural diversity of our country but also attest to its essential unity. These festivals are occasions of joy and happiness and provide us an occasion to take stock of the days gone by and plan and look to the future with hope. May these festivals usher in peace, prosperity and joy to all, Dr. Manmohan Singh added. |
